Safety

NEVER SHOOT IN TRAFFIC!

Safety is a serious issue!

Sure your shutter speed may be faster then car doing 50 miles an hour, but
YOU ARE NOT!

Seriously, I can’t imagine a photo worth my safety and the same goes for you. Am I making myself clear? If not, let me say it in simples to understand words…

THERE ISN’T A PHOTOGRAPH WORTH YOUR SAFETY!

Let’s face it if you are planning on photographing in or even near roadways, highways, motorways or any place moving vehicles are present you need to be careful.

Never assume that the vehicle coming at you has seen you, this goes for cars, trucks motorcycles and even bicycles and skateboards. We live in a world of cell phone, iPods Lattés and a bunch of other distractions that can leave a driver oblivious to your presents.

Not to scare you off the idea of hunting for Contemporary Fossils, but the truth of the matter is this, people die from being hit by moving vehicles everyday, and if you don’t think it could happen to you, YOU'RE DEAD WRONG!

Beyond your safety you must consider the safety of others as well, your actions can cause an accident, which can cause property loss, personal injury and even death. And who’s fault would it be? Yours! Plain and simples, if you don’t approach this with a clears understanding of the danger you shouldn’t be doing it.

Believe or not I know of one photographer who was killed while standing on an exit ramp trying to get that perfect shot.
Was it worth his life? No.
Would it be worth your life? NO!
